Our grounds have been landscaped to provide seating and eating areas: Set by the poolside cafe is the breakfast buffet with home-made marmalades, apple-pie and cookies, oven baked bread, freshly squeezed juices and our own production of seasonal fruit. Brunch or light Mediterranean dishes by the pool feature vegetables grown in our little garden.

Enjoy a cocktail on your lounge chair by the poolside bar and be seduced by Oia's sunset. Linger at the bar over a glass of wine from our extensive wine list, while candlelight reflects off hand-sculpted walls.

Our private air-conditioned houses feature vaulted ceilings, spacious rooms, sitting areas, domed bathrooms and fully equipped kitchenettes. Preserving the original structure, each house is unique in shape and character. Studios are one-room, open plan arrangements, while junior suites and suites are larger houses with a sitting area. Superior suites contain a separate bedroom.

The decor is elegant simplicity personalized with beautiful hand-crafted furnishings and naturally dyed hand-woven bed covers and rugs while modern comforts have been added. Private stone terrace areas with teak deck chairs bathe in the blue of the Aegean sky and a unique volcano panorama. In July 2004, the Perivolas Suite opened to our guests. Stark white against the black volcanic rock, the suite exists in perfect harmony with the Santorini landscape. Rendering a local home in truly contemporary fashion, the Suite contains spa facilities: steam bath, hydrotherapy massage pool, and indoor-outdoor swimming pool.

Every space in the hundred square meter house leads to one another via large and small openings and arched doorways, while retaining their autonomy. Every aspect of the house is unique - there is no repetition and no symmetry. Age-old Cycladic devices are employed: the impression of coolness that greets the visitor when entering the house and the use of white throughout the interior as a reprieve from the brightness outside.

The pure lines of the white structures float alongside walls made of local stone while the swimming pool brings them together as its blue water flows right into the house. The large terrace, accented with bougainvilleas, seems suspended over the flawless volcanic vista. Awash with grand Cycladic light and a permanent soft breeze, this house is a unique Aegean retreat.
